Frequently Asked Questions: COVID-19 Vaccine
Which vaccine do you have?
We administer the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine requires a special freezer to get to ultra-cold temperatures. The Moderna vaccine can be kept
Do I need a second dose?
Yes! Both vaccines require two doses. The Moderna vaccine requires a second dose 28 days after the first. After your first dose, we will call you on day 24 or 25 to schedule your second appointment.
Do I need to stay at the pharmacy after I get my shot?
Yes! We ask that after you get your vaccination that you stay at least 15 minutes to make sure you don't have a severe reaction. If you have had a severe reaction to a vaccination before, we ask that you stay for 30 minutes.
What side effects should I expect?
The most common reaction is pain and swelling in the arm where you received your shot. You may also experience a fever, chills, tiredness, and headache. The Moderna Vaccine is still being studied and these are not all of the side effects that may occur.
How soon can I get my vaccine?
We are currently working on administering as many doses as we can throughout the day. There has been shortages in supply which has recently caused some delays. When we get a shipment in, we try to administer all doses as soon as possible. Depending on when you turned in your form and our current supply, it might be a few days to a couple of weeks.
